Call for artists

The Stefani Gallery in Salem, Oregon, is seeking talented and visionary artists to showcase their work in our newly established space dedicated to modern, contemporary, and abstract art. We are committed to providing a platform for local, emerging, and internationally recognized artists to present original artworks, fine art photographs, and limited-edition prints for collectors at every level.
Our gallery stands as a testament to the enduring power of art to inspire, connect, and transform. Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, engaging programs, and a vibrant community of art enthusiasts, we aim to champion the visual arts in the region.
The new location opening date is tentatively set for March 2025.
Artists Invited to Apply: We accept submissions from established and emerging artists. Limited spaces are available, and artists may be placed on a waitlist.
Artists selected for exhibitions will be invited and expected to participate in gallery events, including opening receptions and artist talks, providing additional opportunities for exposure and community engagement.

What We Accept:
- Original artworks (paintings, sculpture, photography, textiles, etc.)
- Fine art photographs
- Limited-edition prints
What We Do NOT Accept: (NO exceptions)
- Cards, home goods, print-on-demand, or mass-produced items
- Non-original works
- Political or sexually explicit artwork
Requirements:
- All artwork must be professional and ready to hang in a high-end gallery setting.
- All artwork must adhere to strict quality standards regarding both craftsmanship and presentation.
- The artist must create all artwork, with no potential copyright or trademark issues.
- Our gallery can accommodate works of various sizes, though we recommend that 2D works not exceed 80 inches and 3D works not exceed 100 lbs.
- Please consider these limitations when submitting.
Commission Structure:
- Gallery commission is 50%, broken down as follows:
- 10% to the sales representative (in addition to salary)
- 40% for marketing, exhibition space, event hosting, staff salaries and benefits, storage, insurance, shipping, and expertise.
Payment for artwork sold will be processed within 21 days of the sale.
Artists are responsible for the shipping costs to the gallery. The gallery will provide insurance coverage for artwork during the exhibition period and shipping costs from the gallery to the purchaser.

- 5-10 images of your artwork (2000px on the long side, 96dpi, .jpg format)
- Artist Name, website, and social media links (Google Doc, Word, or PDF)
- Artist Statement and/or CV (Google Doc, Word, or PDF)
For each artwork, include the following information: (Google Doc, Word, or PDF)
- Title of the work
- Is it part of a series? (Yes/No) If yes, include the series title and scope
- Medium
- Size
- Framed or unframed
- Asking price
- File Naming: Name each file with your last name, dash, then the file name.
Example: Smith-artist-statement.pdf or Smith-soaring-winds.jpg
Deadline for JAN/FEB 2025 Submissions: 2-15-2025 10 p.m. PST
Application Fee: none
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Artists will be notified of selection status via email within 2 weeks of submission. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback.
